Swillington Primary School by Architype has obtained planning permission. The building which is on track for Passivhaus certification as well as BREEAM Very Good is due to start to site this spring.

Studio Polpo at Footsey 2011 Stuart Thomason of the Young Foundation, and Director of Studio Polpo ran a workshop at this years Footsey, the Social Economy Trade Fair. The workshop entitled 'Social Growth - 'Making the Big Society more than just a slogan' looked at how local authorities can support and work with social enterprise. Issues raised will help to inform the Young Foundation's toolkit.
